Felicity Bauman, Director, co-founder of the Stettler Hospice Society.Felicity moved to Stettler area with her daughter Jessie Ann from Port Hardy BC in 2004. She now resides in the little hamlet of Erskine with her husband Jesse and their little chihuahua Scruffy. She graduated her LPN education in 2006 and her RMT in 2008. Her daughter Jessie Ann and herself run their own wellness business in Stettler. She has four grandchildren who keep her busy and full of joy and pride. She enjoys acting and is learning to paint. Her mom Sharon died in the hospital and although the care was great it was hard for her to see her mom moved from the comfort of one “hospital” room that she had spent three weeks in, into the palliative room for her final week of life. “I want to see the dying person have continuity of comfort and a hospice allows for this.”
Working with palliative patients in the hospital and in the Red Deer hospice was a rewarding experience, one that fueled her passion to have a hospice in our own community. “I want the “End of life Experience” to be as beautiful and full of love as the life of a newborn.
