Stettler Hospice Society News

Chad Dalsin, President
I was born in Dawson Creek BC, and grew up in Prince George BC. I moved to Yellowknife NWT in 2003, and my daughter Annika was born there in 2004. The north was too cold and dark, and moved to Peace River AB the following year. Shortly after parted ways with the mother of my child, and shared custody of Annika. After 9 years in Peace River, I ended up meeting my current wife Angela from Stettler. In 2013 I moved to Stettler, and gained 2 more children, Kiersten and Jordan.

Sheryl Osterud, Treasurer
My husband Erick and I have 2 children, and we farm north of Stettler. We have a cow/calf operation and endless other projects that keep us busy. Â I enjoy time with my family and friends, my cattle, quadding in the west country, pickleball and vacations in warm winter locations. Â I volunteer my time to help the Stettler Hospice Society. Losing a loved one is always difficult and any support we, as a community, can provide to people at this difficult time is very valuable.

Susan Haustein, Director
My first interactions with the health care industry was when I worked at Points West Living.  Learning the importance of allowing people to have dignity while aging and later living their last days became surreal to me. I am married and have two children and now 4 grandchildren.  I was approached about volunteering with the Hospice Society and felt the pull to join the organization. Being able to sit with the patient and listening to the family was very rewarding and an
