My first interactions with the health care industry was when I worked at Points West Living.   Learning the importance of allowing people to have dignity while aging and later living their last days became surreal to me.  I am married and have two children and now 4 grandchildren. 

I was approached about volunteering with the Hospice Society and felt the pull to join the organization.  Being able to sit with the patient and listening to the family was very rewarding and an honor.  Becoming a board member seemed the natural next step.
