Thelma became interested in the Hospice Society after volunteering to help on a couple of events with her sister Clara who is already on the board. Also having experienced end of life care for her parents and mother in law, she saw how important this care is, and that it needs to be done well, and with respect and comfort.
Her husband Don and herself have recently moved to the Botha area after over 40 years in Edmonton. Thelma was raised in Halkirk and her husband in Castor. Most of Thelma's working years were spent at NAIT first in the bookstore accounting department and then finished out her 30+ years in the Learning services department supporting exams for students with identified learning differences and disabilities.
She enjoy knitting, quilting, walking and spending time with her 5 grandchildren who are here and in Edmonton.
Thelma looks forward to participating in this boards endeavors, and we are very happy to have her join our Board of Directors.
